Welcome to Chez Baptiste – A Quilter’s Retreat

Astride a ridge in the heart of the French countryside, with stunning views over the local vineyards and sunflower fields to the distant Pyrenees to the south lies the tiny hamlet, Le Bourrou, a peaceful hideaway offering total rest and relaxation to its visitors and Quilter’s retreat guests.

Sit in the garden and listen to the silence broken only by the sound of the birds, watch the red squirrels scampering up the walnut trees, walk along the ridge and watch for deer and on a clear evening sit in the garden, gaze at the Milky Way and perhaps see a shooting star.

Set in the Gers region of the Midi-Pyrenees, the area is renowned for Armagnac, foie gras and its many duck dishes and within easy reach of Le Bourrou there are many good restaurants and bars where you can while away an hour or two enjoying the local delicacies. There are many local markets to visit where you can see a stunning array of locally produced fruit, vegetables, honey and cheese. Within easy reach there are picturesque villages and towns to visit, including Fleurance, Lectoure, Auch and Condom.

Whether you are a regular visitor to the Gers or it is your first visit to the region, you will find it a peaceful place full of charm and character.

We are seeking to create the perfect ambience for groups of friends who want to stay together at our "Quilter’s Retreat" - Chez Baptiste - most of all we want you to have a fun, relaxing, unique and memorable holiday.
